Covington and King County hosting business recycling event

The city of Covington in coordination with King County Solid Waste Division is co-hosting a business recycling collection event at the Kent Fire Station No. 75, 15635 S.E. 272nd Street from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 15

Businesses are encouraged to wrap up their spring cleaning and haul down recyclable materials that they would like to get rid of including: cardboard, cellular phones, computer components ($10 charge for monitors), scrap metal, wood pieces or pallets in clean condition, toner cartridges, plastics, fluorescent lights and more.

Hazardous waste materials will not be accepted at this event. Businesses that need assistance with hazardous waste disposal should visit www.govlink.org/hazwaste/business.

A flyer with recycling guidelines for the event can be found on the city of Covington’s Web site, www.ci.covington.wa.us under the forms link and in the Recycling and Waste Management section.
