The city of Maple Valley’s Economic Development Committee and the Maple Valley-Black Diamond Chamber of Commerce have come together to develop a “Buy Local” campaign.

The goal of the campaign is to increase awareness among residents and neighboring communities of the many products and services that can be found within the Maple Valley area.

As the group begins to craft the campaign, it feels it is essential to reach out to local businesses for input.

Members of the EDC or chamber will be visiting businesses through June 25. The members will be asking a few brief questions that will be critical to how the program will be constructed. If a business owner is not present, a postage-paid postcard will be left that can be filled out and dropped in the mail.

The members thank everyone in advance for participating in the early stages of the program. The committee and chamber look forward to developing a program that is customized to our community and will increase revenues for our local businesses while connecting residents with the goods and services.
