All senior programs are located at the Black Diamond Community Center, located at 31605 3rd Ave. in Black Diamond.

Ham is on the menu, details TBA.  Stan Terrell's Band will be present. Must sign up in advance.

 

Trip to the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium in Tacoma

9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday Aug. 20

Cost is $25, first $10 required for deposit by Friday, Aug. 12.

Wear good walking shoes, bring a sack lunch and an umbrella if it rains.

Senior Congregate Meals -Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays

Meals are served at noon. Social hour begins at 11 a.m. $3 suggested donation.

Friday's meals are made from scratch so don't miss them!

Taking Pounds Off Sensibly (TOPS)

Please donate your old eyeglasses.

Do you have old pairs of eyeglasses you no longer use? The Enumclaw Lions Club has an eyeglasses donation box at the Black Diamond Community Center.

Together we are collecting clean and gently used eyeglasses for people in remote areas of developing countries.

The glasses will be examined and packaged by volunteer eye doctors who will sort them for the different prescription needs.

This is an easy and wonderful opportunity for you to donate to a much needed cause.

The Black Diamond Community Center is located at 31605 3rd Ave. in Black Diamond.

The Community Center is open Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

 

Senior Health & Fitness at the Black Diamond Community Center

 

Mondays & Wednesdays

Walk & Talk Walk around Black Diamond

7:30 a.m. On the Wilderness trail on Wednesdays.

 

Mondays at 8:30 a.m., Wednesdays at 9 a.m. Java Chat immediately after Walk & Talk.  Bring a friend or just come on down to visit and enjoy Starbucks

coffee and sweet rolls!

9 a.m. Lose weight and make new friends with this great support group located in the BDCC Pool Room.

 

10 a.m. 2 p.m. Adult Day Health is available at the Black Diamond Community Center every Friday,   Caring staff provide special activities, which include games, news of the day, painting and crafts, activities geared toward their

abilities, nutritious lunches and reminisce.  We ask for $3 donation for lunch. If you are a caregiver for an aged parent or loved one 55 or older, give yourself a break and treat your loved one to a special outing.

 

Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays

 

11 a.m. Nutrition Lunch Congregate Meal served at noon. Fresh salads served with each meal. Suggested donation is $3.

 

11:30 a.m. to noon. Come get your blood pressure checked every Thursday from by volunteers from the Black Diamond Fire Department.

 

Special Services for Seniors at the Black Diamond Community Center

 

Wheel Chairs, Walkers & Canes are available for your use.

Please donate any items you no longer use.

Free Pet Food is available once a month for low-income seniors. Sponsored by the

Humane Society. Come by the Black Diamond Community Center to fill out an

application. This service is available each month.

 

BDCC Transportation is available every Thursday for our congregate meal. Pick-up times and locations vary. Please call to set up your ride! Cost is $3 for Black Diamond and $4 for Maple Valley round trip.

Pre-paid cards are available.

Meals on Wheels are available to home-bound seniors. Meals are provided by

Senior Services for only a $3 donation for each meal.
