Tina and Cory McDonough's third annual Friends of Vine Maple Place benefit last weekend was a success.

Tina McDonough sent out an email on Sunday to celebrate the event, which raised $3,620 in cash gifts as well as generated $1,170 in gift card donations. In addition, participants brought hundreds of pounds of items that were donated to Maple Valley Food Bank and Emergency Services.

Vine Maple Place, where Tina McDonough has volunteered for more than six years, is a Christian non-profit supported by a number of local churches. It was founded in 2000 by Ron and Colleen Starr.

McDonough, who is on the development team for Vine Maple Place, recently did a piggy bank fundraiser with the third graders at Rock Creek Elementary. The students raised more than $800.
