Tahoma all-girls robotics competition Saturday

Tahoma High School senior Mackenzie Dowell is organizing an all-girls FIRST Robotics competition for her senior project on Saturday at the Tahoma High gym.

The event will feature 22 all-female teams from schools in the area. This will be the first girls-only FIRST Robotics tournament in Washington state and first event of the school year.

Qualifying matches will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch will be held from noon to 1 p.m.

Elimination matches will be from 4:30-6 p.m.
