As part of the crowd that spread out across a lawn at Lake Wilderness Park last Wednesday for one of Maple Valley Library’s Storytimes in the Park sessions, Buckley resident Ethan Henshaw (left), who’s 3 years old, and his friend, Brayden Terry, 5, of Kent, ham it up while acting out the storyteller’s tale. Brayden’s 10-month-old sibling, Cohen, is more interested in being fed by their mother, Jillanne Terry. Story Times in the Park are scheduled for noon every Wednesday through July 30 for children in preschool through second grade. Kids and their parents can combine the fun time with a picnic. In case of rain, the event will move inside to the library at 22500 SE. 248th St.
