Girl Scouts from the Covington-Maple Valley area recently visited Fire District 37’s Fire Station 75 on Kent-Kangley Road to learn from the experts about fire safety and prevention, including using proper escape routes from burning buildings.

They also were allowed to find out what it’s like to man a fire hose, and they posed for a photo with firefighters Paul Peters and Dan Thompson (above, left and right, respectively). The girls included (first row, from left) Hallie Eha, Anna Kruse, Mackenzie Shelden, Anna Hartmanand Madison Marko, and (second row, from left) Morgan Marko, Meagan Smith, Jordyn Mastroff, Hanna Eha and Fiona Higgins.
