Homeless men helped by annual church project

Peace Lutheran Church in Covington recently conducted its annual Feeding the Homeless project.

To help homeless men in the south King County area, church members provide and prepare food, make sack lunches and serve dinner each day for two weeks in September. Peace Lutheran also supplies toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, lotions, deodorants, pens, tablets and white socks.

A spokeswoman for the project said “it is truly a blessing to be able to pray for, encourage and serve these men.”

The project is sponsored by Catholic Community Services and supported by various Christian churches.
