Palmer Coking Coal raises funds for Vine Maple Place

The management and staff of Palmer Coking Coal Company announced $446 was raised for Vine Maple Place during the past month by residents who picked up chunks of coal for Christmas gifts at Palmer’s Black Diamond office.

Vine Maple Place is a locally based charity providing transitional living arrangements primarily for single mothers and children. Supported by local area churches and the community, Vine Maple Place operates two complexes of apartment homes, one near Good Earth Works in old Maple Valley and the other near Lake Wilderness Elementary on Witte Road. The organization is headed up by Ron and Colleen Starr.
