In June the Maple Valley Rotary Club awarded $20,000 in scholarships to Tahoma High School students. The following students were presented with scholarships:

• $5,000 each awarded to Kari Lutcavich and David Mahoney;

• $3,000 each awarded to Sydney Dawson, Wiley Duerson and Stephanie Greenside and

• $500 each in vocational scholarships awarded to Tyler Ellis and Thomas Petit.

All awards were based upon academic achievement, school and community involvement, as well as the future goals of these deserving students. "The talent and ambition of these students is amazing. I'm confident our future is in good hands with these graduates," Sean Stewart said, Maple Valley Rotary president.
