Rainier Youth Choirs, including singers from Kent School District schools such as Grass Lake and Soos Creek, will again perform on the Argosy Christmas Ship this holiday season.

The Rainier Youth Choir will perform at their annual holiday choral concert, “The Heavens are Singing,” at 3 p.m. Dec. 15 at the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 19800 108th Ave. S.E., Kent.

To share in the spirit of giving, RYC is holding a food drive for the Kent Food Bank in conjunction with the concert. Attendees get a drawing ticket for each non-perishable item they donate. The more people bring for the food bank, the better their chances to win prize baskets.

Bring the whole family to enjoy the concert and a “cookie mingle” that follows.  Concert tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors/students if purchased in advance.

They are available online at www.RainierYouthChoirs.org. Tickets are $15 and $12 at the door and are available starting at 2:15 p.m.  Doors open at 2:30 p.m. with festival seating and season ticket holders have preferred seating.

Performing with them will be singers nominated by their school music teachers.

·Renton Park Elementary, Renton: Kaitlyn Anderson, Faith Benoit, ZeiViehre Lindsey, Kayla Nieto

·Scenic Hill Elementary, Kent:  Ian Cunningham, Andrew Kirkland, AlmaBrisia Vargas-Conwell

·Soos Creek Elementary,  Kent:  Taylor Davis, Juan Gayles, Kaitlyn Nation, Brielle Perkins, Cindy Roberts

·Homeschool:  Elena Kittelson, Rebekah West, Samuel West.
