Vote yes on Maple Valley park bond

Your parks ballot for has arrived- please join me and vote YES for parks in Maple Valley

Dear Maple Valley citizens,

Your parks ballot for has arrived- please join me and vote YES for parks in Maple Valley. We have perfect timing to save the taxpayer a ton of money, right now, and still deliver all the amenities people have been asking for; a dog park, a skate park, trails, and multi-purpose fields for baseball, fastpitch, soccer, lacrosse and football.

This bond will only cost the average taxpayer $9 each month. The School District and the City of Maple Valley have collaborated and lowered land costs and development costs to ensure that both students and citizens enjoy active recreation for years to come. Additionally, we will see added revenue as people stay in Maple Valley for recreation instead of heading out of town. This is a win-win situation for the city, the schools, and for you.

The timing is critical for some of these reduced costs. Once the new schools are built, our ability to collaborate on development costs will go away. This is a new bond, with only two projects; develop Summit Park near the new High School and develop Lake Wilderness Park near Lake Wilderness Elementary. Please take the time to fill out that ballot and vote YES! Every vote counts!

Sincerely,

Erin Weaver
