Black Diamond’s Miner’s Day

Miner’s Day is held every summer in Black Diamond to celebrate the city’s mining history.

Railroad Street in Black Diamond was buzzing with activity last Saturday, July 7, as the road closed down to residents to celebrate the city’s mining history with the 15th annual Miner’s Day celebration. All day long, attendees could enjoy live music, laugh along with a gold rush/bank robbery skit put on by the Black Diamond Hysterical Society with actors David Luke, Tony Moss, Steve Israel, Susie Thill Thompson, Shawn Oglesbee and Jill Erickson, explore the Black Diamond Historical Museum, or browse the tents of local businesses while easting a delicious pastry from the Black Diamond Bakery and Restaurant.
