Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest opens campground

Campers don’t have to wait much longer for campfires, s’mores and star-filled nights. The Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest will open most campgrounds before Memorial Day weekend, by May 24.

Snow keeps the San Juan and Troublesome Creek campgrounds in the Skykomish Ranger District and Corral Pass in the Snoqualmie Ranger District corridor closed.  San Jaun and Troublesome campgrounds will reopen June 1 after floods closed them and the roads leading into them in 2006. Coral Pass is a higher-elevation campground and usually opens mid-July when the snow melts off.

Find a forest campsite and check availability with the campground concessionaire, HooDoo, or contact Rob Ralph for more information at 360-691-1841 or Rob@hoodoo.com. Reserve a campground on the National Recreation Reservation System. Check current trail and road conditions before visiting the forest.  Local ranger districts and public service centers can provide more information on camping, hiking and access:
