A large crowd gathered at Tahoma National Cemetery for the Memorial Day program.

Rain fell heavily at times during the ceremony commemorating those who lost their lives while serving in the military.

Alvin Jorgenson was the master of ceremonies and Orin Hatton, a program analyst from Washington D.C. was the guest speaker.

Kerry Hooks sang the "Star Spangle Banner" and "God Bless America."

The Bellevue Community Band performed patriotic musical selection during the event.

The Kent American Legion Post 15 performed the rifle salute.
