Maple Valley Farmers Market open house May 21

A community open house for the Maple Valley Farmers Market is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, May 21, at Rock Creek Elementary.

This event will provide a forum to learn more about our local farmers market upcoming third season.

Vendor applications continue to be accepted, especially from local artisans. Volunteer opportunities for all ages are also available

The open house is an opportunity for Tahoma School District students to earn community service credits.

As a service to the community with a specific emphasis towards enhancing youth community engagement, the Farmers Market offers booth space to young entrepreneurs who attend a Tahoma school.

Usage of the booth space is intended to provide young entrepreneurs an avenue to sell their items with materials made in Washington State.

In addition, booth space is available to local non-profits and other local greater Maple Valley area community groups for educational outreach and/or fundraising opportunities.

Rock Creek Elementary is located at 25700 Maple Valley-Black Diamond Road SE Maple Valley, WA 98038.
