Covington Planning Commission to hold public hearing on proposed comprehensive plan amendments July 19

The Covington Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the 2012 annual docket of two proposed comprehensive plan amendments and one development code amendment at its meeting at 6:30 p.m.on Thursday, July 19, in the Council Chambers at Covington City Hall.
City Hall is located at 16720 S.E. 271st Street, Covington.
The purpose of this public hearing is for the planning commission to receive comments from the public, both written and oral, regarding whether any or all of these three proposed amendments should be approved and recommended to the City Council for adoption as part of the 2012 annual amendment cycle prescribed by the Washington State Growth Management Act (GMA).
The planning commission recommendation will be presented to the City Council in August.
All proposed comprehensive plan amendments must be considered concurrently on an annual timeline and a decision made by the City Council prior to Dec. 31 each year.
