For Clarification Purpose: No business or household hazardous waste will be accepted at the combined City Business Recycling Collection Event on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 At Cedar Heights Middle School, 19640 SE 272ND St., Covington, WA. 98042.
This combined event is open to Maple Valley and Covington businesses only and no hazardous waste material will be accepted. Invited businesses received an event flyer detailing the materials that will be accepted. A residential recycling collection event will be offered in the fall.
Household hazardous waste (not to be confused with Small Business Hazardous Waste) may be disposed of at the North Seattle, South Seattle, or Factoria Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off Facilities or at the Auburn Supermall Wastemobile drop-off service. For specific dates and times and acceptable material visit www.HazWasteHelp.org or call the Household Hazards line Mon-Fri 9 am to 4:30 pm (except holidays) at 206-296-4692 or 1-888-TOXIC ED.
The Local Hazardous Waste Management Program has a Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generators (SQG) project for qualifying businesses to dispose of limited quantities of business hazardous waste.
