July 17, 2012 · Updated 6:34 PM

The Covington Days Parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 21 and will affect traffic flow on Kent-Kangley and surrounding roads.

Kent-Kangley will close at 9:30 a.m. from 185th Avenue Southeast to 201st Avenue Southeast.

Cars will still be able to turn into the Covington Esplanade (Home Depot) Complex, however, the city advises drivers to avoid the area between 9:30 a.m. and noon.

The parade exits onto Kent-Kangley from 186th Ave Southeast and travels to Cedar Heights Middle School.

Detours will be clearly marked and the road will reopen promptly after the parade ends.
