Gardeners encouraged to submit flowers to Puyallup Fair's floral shows

Gardeners are encouraged to enter their best flowers in the Puyallup Fair’s floral shows, Sept. 7-23 in the Americraft ShowPlex. The show features fresh flower and plant displays as well as competitions. Prior to entering bonsai, roses, geraniums, fuchsias and more, participants must first register online by at 10 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 5.

To obtain the list of conditions and to complete your registration, visit www.thefair.com, and select exhibit entries. To review contest rules, click on “Floral”. To pre-register, click Online Entry Registration. Then click Login/Logoff, select your Type (Exhibitor), then proceed completing your registration.

Judges will award prizes based on arrangement, quality, condition, variety, and finish.

Professional Fresh Floral Design

Floral entries will be displayed in the Americraft ShowPlex near the Blue Gate with grange displays and produce, and visitors are invited to enjoy the striking floral displays.

Aqua Rec’s Swimmin’ Hole and Fireplace Shop is the sponsor of the Floral Department at the Fair again this year.

The Puyallup Fair started in 1900, is one of the biggest fairs in the world, and is considered to be the state fair in Washington. Star-studded entertainment, the PRCA Rodeo, rides, exhibits, food, flowers and animals are mainstays of the 17-day event in September.
