National Night Out in Maple Valley, Black Diamond to be held tonight

The 29th Annual National Night Out event in Maple Valley will be at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Glacier Valley Community Park near Glacier Park Elementary.
Sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), NNO is the once a year event where over 37 million people in approximately 15,325 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases around the world will be participating.
Maple Valley Police will be visiting neighborhoods in our city throughout the evening and will wrap up the celebration at Glacier Valley Community Park where citizens are welcome to attend a free BBQ.If you have any questions regarding National Night Out 2012, please contact Police Robin Larsen at 425-413-5158.
The Black Diamond Community Center, Black Diamond Police and Fire Community Barbeque Party and Dance for National Night Out will be held from 5-7 p.m.
It will include a free BBQ. Children get to take a tour of the Fire Engine and Police car parked out front, and we will have a raffle at 6 p.m.
