The Maple Valley Food Bank and Emergency Services building was vandalized sometime between 10 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 17 and 7 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, according to Jennifer Rodgers, a member of the executive board of directors for the food bank.

Burglars used a saw to cut a two-foot square hole in the outer wall of the building and into the Food Bank’s walk-in refrigerator.

Once inside the refrigerator, they then cut a hole into the walk-in freezer.

The damage is estimated to be in approximately $5,000. A small amount of food was stolen.
