Metropolitan King County Councilman Reagan Dunn has completed what he calls his annual swing through his council district.

Dunn delivered speeches during visits with the city councils in Black Diamond, Covington and Maple Valley. He also spoke to two unincorporated area councils – Four Creeks and Greater Maple Valley – and met with homeowners associations, chambers of commerce and other groups in the district.

Dunn said he explained his roles with the County Council, including his assignments with the council’s Growth Management and Natural Resources committees.

Dunn is starting his fourth year on the council.

Some of his goals for 2008 include putting together a comprehensive reform of the Department of Development and Environmental Services and playing a major role in updating the county’s comprehensive plan, he said.

Dunn also said he is backing legislation dealing with methamphetamine, dangerous trees and other issues facing communities.
