Maple Valley Police now using Nixle to allow for real-time alerts, advisories

The Maple Valley Police Department is now using NIXLE, a community information service provider built exclusively to provide secure and reliable communications.

It's authenticated service connects city agencies to residents in real time, delivering information to residents of geographically targeted areas and neighborhoods.

Information is available over cell phones, by text message, by email, and over the web.

Simply text MVPolice or 98038 to 888777 and receive real-time alerts and advisories directly from your local police department.

There is no charge for registering, but standard text messaging rates associated with your mobile phone service will apply.

You can opt out at anytime by texting "STOP" to 888777.NIXLE is free and simple to use (standard text message rates apply for cell phone subscribers who do not have text plans.)

There is no spam.
