71-year-old man arrested for allegedly hiting man and woman with vehicle outside Covington Walmart | Breaking news

A 71-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault for allegedly hitting a man and woman outside the Covington Walmart at around 8:10 p.m. Thursday night, according to King County Sheriff's Office Spokesperson Cindi West.
According to Sheriff's Office spokesperson Twitter account, the man and woman were hit by the red SUV in the Walmart parking lot in front of the entrance. The woman was trapped temporarily underneath the vehicle was the man was thrown on top of it. They were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center.
According to West, the 71-year-old driver the woman is in serious condition, but is expected to recover, while the man is in good condition.
According to West, the suspect was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault. He was subject to a mandated blood draw and then released to his family. The Sheriff's Office is waiting for the toxicology report, West said.
