Public hearing set on extension of medical marijuana related moratorium in Covington Jan. 8

The Covington City Council will host a public hearing on a proposed extension of the city's moratorium on medical marijuana related businesses at its meetings set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, in the Council Chambers at Covington City Hall, 16720 S.E. 271st St.
The proposed extension would apply to medical marijuana dispensaries, production and processing facilities and collective gardens, according to city documents.
During the hearing written and oral comments will be received regarding the ordinance.
A one-year moratorium was originally passed by the City Council August 2011.It extended the moratorium again earlier this year.
