KSD Hosts Technology Event for Students and Community
January 17, 2013 · 4:40 PM
The Kent School District is hosting the annual Technology Exposition atthe Kent ShoWare Center from 6-9 p.m. on Jan. 24.
The Technology Expo is an opportunity for KSD students and teachers to demonstrate how technology is used in their classrooms and for local businesses to showcase technology in careers. This partnership provides students and community members a chance to see how technology skills acquired today, translate directly into future professions.
“We are excited to offer this event for our student, parents and community,” said Dr. Edward Lee Vargas, superintendent. “Attendees get to see all the exciting ways our students are learning through technology and our students get an idea of what skills they need to master to succeed in their futures.”
This event is organized by the KSD Student Technology Education Partnerships Program and sponsored by The Boeing Company and other local businesses.
