Firefighters from three local stations responded to a fire that damaged a motorhome and a detached garage in Maple Valley on Jan. 16.

Firefighters from Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety, Kent Regional Fire Authority and Mountain View Fire and Rescue responded to a motorhome fire in the 22000 block of Southeast 272nd Pl. at approximately 3:40 p.m. on Jan. 16.

Upon arrival crews found the motorhome fully engulfed with fire which has also spread to the interior of a detached garage.  Firefighters battled the blaze for almost an hour before extinguishing it.  No injuries were reported.  Damages were estimated at $220,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
