Washington State Patrol seeking information about fatal Saturday morning collision on state Route 167

Schools, government offices closed in Covington, Maple Valley and Black Diamond Monday in observance of President's Day

City Halls in Covington, Black Diamond and Maple Valley will be closed Monday in observance of President's Day. In addition, Monday starts mid-winter break for both Tahoma and Kent school districts, so schools will be closed all week.

King County offices will also be closed Monday in observance of the holiday. There will be no mail delivery by the United States Postal Service, either, Monday.

Many banks observe the holiday as well. State government offices will be closed Monday, too.
