Monday, February 18

President’s Day Holiday—County Offices Closed


Tuesday, February 19

Transportation, Economy and Environment Committee – 9:30 a.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

  • An ordinance enhancing the County Council’s involvement and oversight of community partnerships and grants projects by adopting notice and approval requirements for certain projects (Ordinance 2013-0036).



  • 2007 Parks Levies—Programmatic Overview (Briefing No. 2013-B0016).
  • Implementation of the King County Strategic Climate Action Plan: Consumption and Materials Management (Briefing No. 2013-B0017).



Metropolitan King County Council – 1:30 p.m.

Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:

  • An ordinance establishing a green community initiative in King County, authorizing the Executive to sign an interagency cooperation agreement to implement the initiative in partnership with the Washington state Housing Finance Commission and requiring a report on the initiative (Substitute Ordinance 2012-0435.2).


Wednesday, February 20

Committee of the Whole – Canceled


Budget and Fiscal Management Committee – 1:30 p.m. ***Special Meeting***

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

  • An ordinance relating to the class action settlement agreement negotiated between the County and plaintiffs in Dolan V. King County; approving and adopting the agreement and directing the Executive to implement the terms of the agreement (Ordinance 2013-0025).


Regional Transit Committee – 3:00 p.m. ***Special Meeting Location*** The Committee will meet in the Chinook Building, 401 Fifth Ave, Room 121, Seattle


  • Selection of Vice Chair of the Regional Transit Committee



  • Linking and Development: Scoping Update of the Strategic Plan for Public Transportation 2011-2021 and King County Metro Service Guidelines (Briefing No. 2013-B0009).


Thursday, February 21

Board of Health – 1:30 p.m.

Board members are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:


  • A resolution calling on the Washington state Legislature to help improve the health of King County and Washington state residents by maintaining current levels of funding for foundational public health services and by securing Medicaid expansion (Resolution No. 13-05).



  • Overview of Medic One/Emergency Medical Services Strategic (EMS) Plan (Briefing No. 13-B06).
  • Washington State Food Code Adoption (Briefing No. 13-B04).
  • Secure Medicine Return Policy Concepts (Briefing No. 13-B05).
