Covington to host workshop on Hawk Property Subarea plan

The city of Covington invites the public to a workshop to help shape the uses, location and layout of future development in the Hawk Property Subarea.

The area is 209 acres located in the northern part of the city, southeast of state Route 169. It currently consists of the Lakeside gravel mine, an asphalt batch plant, vacant land and a highway interchange. Approximately 134 acres lies within the city's corporate limits adn the remainder is within the city's Urban Growth Boundary.

The workshop will be held at 6:30 p.m. on March 25 at Covington City Hall.

The evening will include an interactive planning exercise whereby meeting participants can provide input on the type and location of uses that htey would like to see developed in this area in the future.
