U.S. HealthWorks has 18 centers in Washington state
Labor Day is a celebration of American workers. But for one leading national healthcare company, it’s also an appropriate time to caution workers and their employers regarding workplace injuries.
According to a study (see below) just released by U.S. HealthWorks, the most common workplace injury among the patients at its 208 centers nationwide was back pain.
“Back injuries do occur they can be physically and emotionally debilitating – and often require drastic measures to heal,” said Dr. Leonard M. Okun, National Medical Director for U.S. HealthWorks
According to the U.S. HealthWorks study, for the second straight year back injuries were twice as prevalent as the No. 2 injury -- finger cuts. Shoulder sprains were third on the list, followed by sprained necks and leg/knee injuries.
A U.S. HealthWorks doctor is available to discuss this Labor Day study and provide tips to avoid workplace injuries for both office and outdoor workers.
