Maple Valley and Covington proclaim Day of Concern
Mayors and City Councils of both Maple Valley and Covington recently proclaimed Sept. 28 Mayors’ Day of Concern for the Hungry and strongly encourage all citizens to join them in supporting the Emergency Feeding Program by contributing food to support the Maple Valley Food Bank & Emergency Services in their efforts to nourish those who are hungry.
The Emergency Feeding Program of Seattle & King County’s single day, countywide food drive - Mayors' Day of Concern for the Hungry - has helped rally support for food banks around King County for 21 years.
The leadership of the Maple Valley Food Bank is grateful to Covington and Maple Valley city officials and Boy Scout Troop #594 for providing the heart and hands for this event. Stop by Covington Safeway, Maple Valley Safeway or Maple Valley QFC between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 28. Your donation will help ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.
Maple Valley Food Bank & Emergency Services serves residents of Black Diamond, Covington, Hobart, Maple Valley, Ravensdale and within the Tahoma School District.
