Tahoma speech and debate students earn top finishes

Over 40 schools participated in a speech and debate tournament at Tahoma High School before Thanksgiving.

Tahoma students brought home several top finishes.

Noelle Merclich and Alyssa Gaston won 1st place in the Novice Dual Interpretation category.

Jayaram Ravi finished second in Open Lincoln-Douglas Debate and bid to state and was also named 2nd place speaker

Amber Neathery finished 2nd in Novice Expository, Jordan Hagness was named 4th place speaker in Novice Lincoln-Douglas Debate, andCassie Snyder was 5th place speaker in Junior Lincoln-Douglas Debate.
