--The Council will honor the vision and work of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by proclaiming the month of January Rev. Dr. Martin

Luther King, Jr. Month in King County.

--Councilmembers will proclaim the month of January Slavery and Human Trafficking Awareness Month in King County.

 

Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:

• A motion adopting King County’s 2014 (FY 2015) Federal Agenda (Motion 2013-0513).

 

Tuesday, January 14

Transportation, Economy and Environment Committee – 1:30 p.m. ***Special Meeting***

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

 

• An ordinance implementing public transportation service changes in June 2014 scheduled service change (Ordinance 2013-0532).

• An ordinance creating a countywide transportation benefit district in King County, Washington, in order to finance the acquisition, construction, operation, maintenance and preservation of public transportation facilities, services and programs, roads and any other projects authorized by chapter 36.73 RCW (Ordinance 2013-0526).

• An ordinance creating a countywide transportation benefit district as authorized by chapter 36.73 RCW (Ordinance 2013-0527).

 

Regional Transit Committee – 3:00 p.m.

Discussion:

 

• A motion relating to the King County Metro Strategic Plan for Public Transportation 2011‑2021 and the King County Metro Service Guidelines, and accepting the King County Metro Transit Access to Transit Study Work Plan (Motion 2014-0008).
