Lane closures, rolling slowdowns Snoqualmie Pass next week | WSDOT

Construction is ramping up on Interstate 90 east of Snoqualmie Pass. Drivers need to plan for added travel time due to nighttime single lane closures and daytime rolling slowdowns next week.


The Washington State Department of Transportation and contractor crews will close a lane in each direction at night Monday, March 31 to Friday, April 4 near Hyak (milepost 56) to the Price Creek vicinity (milepost 61). Crews are preparing the project area for major closures that will reduce I-90 to a single lane in each direction for two weeks starting April 12. Drivers will also experience intermittent daytime rolling slowdowns.


The Indian John Rest Area will be closed to westbound travelers from 6 a.m. Monday, March 31 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 3. WSDOT and contractor crews are upgrading and adding more lighting to the rest area.
