Kent School District ranks in top ten for innovative technologies | Kent School District

The Kent School District has been recognized as a “Top-ranked School District” by the Center for Digital Education and the National School Boards Association.

Results of the tenth annual Digital School Districts Survey showcase the district’s use of technology to govern the District; communicate with students, parents, and the community; and improve District operations.

“Kent School District embraces technology as a research-based means to a quality education for all students, regardless of background,” said Thuan Nguyen, chief information & digital strategy officer in a statement.

Top ten rankings were awarded to those school boards or districts that most fully implement technology benchmarks in the evolution of digital education, as represented in the survey questions.

This year’s recognition went to school districts for expanding the use of innovative technologies throughout the district as well as in classrooms.

Kent School District placed fifth in the top ten rankings in districts over 12,000 students. It is the only district in the state to receive this recognition in any size category.
