The Maple Valley Farmers' Market commemorated breast cancer awarness Saturday with information booths and plenty of pink.

Jim King on Sax and Ernie 'Two Scoops' Moore provided boogie-woogie music for the entertainment.

Next Saturday, Oct. 10, marks the final day of the Maple Valley Farmers’ Market’s inaugural season. The Market runs from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. at Rock Creek Elementary School.

The full array of vendors will be present, and the Emergency Preparedness Fair will run concurrently in the Rock Creek Gymnasium. In conjunction with the Preparedness Fair, local resident and Community Emergency Response Team graduate, Mary Ann Knarreborg, will host a stall showcasing emergency evacuation stretcher/tarps.

Green River flooding information will be available at a booth. The local MOMS (Moms Offering Moms Support) group, which provides support for at-home moms, will also host an information booth.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Hejira, Seattle's only original World Fusion Band, with its mix of western music and traditional Middle Eastern rhythm and scales.
