The Maple Valley firefighters will be driving the holiday engine through the neighborhoods beginning Dec. 4.

Sponsors of the holiday engine include the Maple Valley Rotary and the Greater Maple/Black Diamond Chamber of Commerce.

Along with the holiday engine, members of the Greater Maple Valley Girl Scouts will be caroling with the donations being collected by the Tahoma High School cheerleaders.

The firefighters hope to collect a record amount of food and cash for the area citizens in need.
