Woman charged with arson in Jan. 29 fire in Kent

Kent fire investigators have arrested and charged a woman with arson in the first degree following a Jan. 29 apartment fire.

The fire occurred in the 11000 block of S.E. Kent Kangley Road and displaced one family and caused water damage to at least one other apartment. The fire resulted in a total of $112,000 in damage and loss.

The woman was arrested March 5 and is known to the occupants of the apartment where the fire started. She is being held at the King County Maleng Regional Justice Center on $100,000 bail.

Further information on this case is not available due to the ongoing investigation.
