The Greater Maple Valley Area Council monthly meeting is scheduled for 7-9:30 p.m. Monday, June 7, at the King County Police Precinct No. 3, located at the northeast corner of S.E.231st Street and state Route 169 across from the fire station.

Topics discussed include Ravensdale Park, The Municipal League with John Jensen, King County strategic planning with Elissa Benson and Michael Johnson from the executive’s office, the fire district and emergency medical services with District 43 Fire Commissioner Mike Scott and an update on the Black Diamond master planned developments.

All members of the public are invited to attend. During an open comment period at the start of the meeting members of the public can address the council on local issues of importance to them.

The council is locally elected and represents all unincorporated area residents living in the Tahoma School District. It serves as the area’s advisory body to the King County Council.
