Kentwood student caught shoplifting|Police Blotter

The following entries are compiled from police reports from the King County Sheriff’s Office:

STOLEN LICENSE PLATES

• On May 8 it was reported that license plates were stolen outside Walmart during the victim’s work shift.

TRESPASS

• On May 8 officers were contacted regarding reports a Kentwood student was reportedly caught shoplifting at Foss’ Grocery & Deli. The police report stated the student was trespassed from the store.

LARCENY

• On May 4 it was reported an unknown male suspect had reportedly broken into the victim’s vehicle. The police report stated the victim stole a bag and debit cards from inside. The report added the suspect made three debit purchases at Walmart and Arco in Covington.

• On May 7 officers responded to reports of a Hispanic male who reportedly stole two bags of M&M’s from the Covington Walmart. The police report stated the suspects were in the store trying to buy ammo when they left the store without paying for the candy.

• On May 8 it was reported to officers that generators were stolen from Airstream Adventures in Covington.

• On May 10 the reporting party found a jacket on her property. The police report stated the jacket owner’s vehicle was prowled and his jacket was reportedly taken from inside.

• On May 10 suspects reportedly stole the tip jar from a Starbucks.

• On May 10 it was reported to officers a suspect reportedly took items from apartments and vehicles and then posted the items on Offer Up.

• On May 10 two suspects reportedly entered a cell phone store on Kent Kangley and cut the cord on a phone and left the store without paying.

PERSON WITH A WEAPON

• On May 11 officers on a routine patrol stopped a subject on a traffic stop and arrested them on warrants. The police report added the subject was also in possession of firearms.

ASSAULT

• On May 1 officers responded to reports of a fight at Mattson Middle School. The police report stated that staples/stitches were required.

CRIMINAL WARRANT

• On May 1 officers were flagged down by someone who reported a fight was happening in the parking lot near the Sprint store in Covington. The police report stated the subject was arguing with his girlfriend. The report added he had a warrant.

FORGERY CREDIT CARDS

• On May 3 the victim reported to officers her and her husband own a vehicle that had been parked and secured in their driveway. The police report stated the suspect reportedly stole credit cards from the vehicle and then used them later.

MENTAL COMPLAINTS

• On May 3 officers were notified that a Kentlake student had reportedly made threats to kill his mother and a fellow student. The police report stated the student was involuntarily committed following the threats.

BURGLARY

• On May 3 the reporting party reported to officers items had been taken from her unlocked shed in her backyard.

• On May 3 officers were contacted regarding a forced entry burglary. The police report stated entry was made through the second story master bedroom window.
