Maple Valley house fire

The following is a press release from Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety.

Two people have been displaced after their two-story home caught fire at approximately 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, in the 20400 block of SE Pipeline Rd., Renton.

Neither of the adults was injured and all pets were able to get out safely.

When firefighters from the Maple Valley, Renton, and Puget Sound fire departments arrived, they found the house fully engulfed in flames. Because of this, the fire was fought “defensively,” or from the outside only, due to the high risk of a building collapse.

The fire is currently under investigation and the family is being assisted by Red Cross.
