On Jan. 21 it was reported that four suspects entered a closed garbage area and took pallets

STALKING

• On Jan. 22 it was reported that the victim’s ex-boyfriend has been sending her repeated, unwanted and vulgar text messages after she told him to stop contacting her two weeks ago. The victim was frightened by the suspect’s abnormal behavior and wanted no further contact with him.

LARCENY

• It was reported on Jan. 20 that an unknown male walked into Bartell Drugs, jumped over the pharmacists counter and stole four to six bottles of prescription medication before running out of the store.

• On Jan. 21 it was reported that three to four suspects entered a closed garbage area and took pallets. The reporting party wanted trespasses given to the subjects involved if located.

• Police responded to a call on Jan. 20 about a female who shoplifted from Fred Meyer. The suspect concealed stolen items in a bag and lied to loss prevention about her identity.

• It was reported on Jan. 19 that a suspect was cited in Covington Municipal Court for theft at Safeway. The suspect used a hand basket to steal items from the store.

• On Jan. 25 it was reported that a shoplifter was at Kohl’s and they also possessed heroin.

• On Jan. 25 police responded to a shoplifting incident at Kohl’s. The victim concealed clothing in a reusable shopping bag while inside the fitting room and exited the store without paying for them.

• On Jan. 26 it was reported that the suspect stole three items from Safeway. All of the items were recovered and the suspect was arrested. The suspect placed one of the items, shrimp, inside of her purse and others in a cart. The suspect then walked out of the store.

BURGLARY

• On Jan. 20 it was reported that a residential alarm went off on forced entry burglary. Unknown suspects forced the locked rear door of the home open possibly by kicking.

• Police responded on Jan. 20 to a burglary. Victim stated that his home was secure when he left. About 20 minutes later his granddaughter returned home to find damages to the home and items missing from inside. The victim returned home to find damages to the front door.

CHILD ABUSE

• On Jan. 20 police responded to a call that a Cedar Valley Elementary student reported getting hit by his uncle in the eye.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES

• On Jan. 24 police responded to a call about alleged inappropriate touching by in-home childcare provider. Unknown specific details except that the caller’s children were not behaving normal and are awaiting medical exam.

On Jan. 26 the reporting party stated that her 11-year-old daughter and another student were involved in an on-going Facebook feud that was resolved by the school. The reporting party was concerned about the Facebook post.

THEFT

The police responded to a call on Jan. 26 about a victim whose identity had been stolen. The victim received a credit card bill from Credit One Bank in the mail at her parent’s home. The victim has never opened an account with Credit One Bank.

It was reported on Jan. 26 that the victims had their vehicle stolen in the parking lot of Home Depot.

THREATS

ON Jan. 26 two deputies were dispatched to a threats case involving two pocket knives with four inch blades. Two male juveniles threatened a younger juvenile girl with the knives.

VANDALISM

On Jan. 26 officers responded to a vandalism call. The suspect broke a rear window with a large rock.

FRAUD

On Jan. 27 it was reported that a suspect requested victim to send a check to them. The victim was victim to money scam.

On Jan. 27 a victim reported that they sold their car to the suspect and when the victim went to check the bills they found out they are counterfeit.

CHILD LURING

Police officers responded to a call on Jan. 20 about an unknown male attempting to get a juvenile female to hold his hand.
