On Feb. 13 it was reported that a stolen vehicle was recovered

VEHICLE RECOVERY

• On Feb. 13 it was reported that a stolen vehicle was recovered. According to the report, a Maroon 1996 Honda Accord was recovered by Puyallup Police Department, the car was unoccupied.

LARCENY

• On Feb. 9 it was reported that an unknown suspect stole clothes from a dryer at Maple Valley Laundry mat.

• It was reported on Feb. 10 that someone stole a wallet out of a purse at Fred Meyer.

• On Feb. 11 it was reported that a suspect shoplifted from My Goods Market/76 Gas Station.

• It was reported on Feb. 12 that unknown male and female suspects attempt to shoplift over $200 worth of groceries from Safeway. According to the report, the suspects filled up reusable grocery bags with groceries.

• A victim reported on Feb. 12 that their purse was stolen from shopping cart while shopping at Fred Meyer.

• A police officer responded to a call on Feb. 13 from the manager of the Maple Valley Safeway. The manager called to report that a male in his 20s wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, had shoplifted a basket full of groceries.

• On Feb. 13 it was reported that theft by concealment happened at Kohl’s. The suspect was charged twice.

CHILD NEGLECT

• On Feb. 13 it was reported that a vehicle was stolen from the Costco parking lot. Dispatchers relayed that the owner of the car had left their grandchild in the vehicle for 20 minutes, unattended.

BURGLARY

• On Feb. 9 it was reported that an unknown suspect used pry tool to open rear door of a house.

• On Feb. 14 it was reported that unknown person(s) shattered the front door of the Smoke and Vape shop using a hammer. According to the police report, the suspect(s) stole roughly 15-25 cartons of cigarettes. The suspect(s) used a hammer to shatter the door.

THEFT

• It was reported on Feb. 12 that the victim had their blue 1997 Subaru Impreza stolen from their driveway.

• On Feb. 12 it was reported that a Maroon 1992 Honda Civic with a black hood was stolen from the Allegro Apartment parking lot.

• On Feb. 13 it was reported that a car was stolen from parked spot. The victim was at Covington City Hall.

• A white 2004 GMC Sierra was stolen overnight from a residence on Feb. 13. According to the police report, the keys had been left inside.

STALKING

• It was reported on Feb. 13 by a mother that third party threats were made about her 18 year old son.

FRAUD

• On Feb. 13 it was reported that the suspect used their sister’s Verizon account to purchase items. The suspect who worked for Verizon purchased two cell phones, an iPad and 100 gigs of data on her sister’s credit. According to the report, the suspect had access to their sister’s account through her credentials as a Verizon employee.

• On Feb. 15 it was reported that an elderly victim participated in an IRS telephone scam. According to the report, the victim lost $800. The unknown suspect claimed to be a special agent with the IRS and obtained the money via gift card numbers under threat of arrest.
