ASSAULT

• On June 15 officers responded to Mattson Middle School to reports that a student had hit another with a stick.

• On June 22 it was reported that a female subject who appeared to conceal a shoebox at Famous Footwear reportedly threw the box at an employee.

BURGLARY

• On June 20 it was reported that an unknown suspect had entered the victim’s open garage and prowled two vehicles parked inside. The police report stated it is unknown if any items were taken from the garage or from the vehicles.

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE

• On June 20 officers were called to Walmart regarding reports that three males were seen sleeping inside a vehicle. According to the police report, upon contact with the subjects it was determined they had outside agency warrants.

CIVIL PROBLEM

• On June 20 officers were contacted by a mother who was reporting that her son had used force to enter the house the two live at. The police report also stated the son entered the home to take keys to his vehicle.

• On June 22 officers responded to the Covington Safeway to reports that a petitioner was refusing to leave the location.

• On June 27 it was reported to officers that the reporting party’s son may have bought a stolen cell phone.

VEHICLE PROWLER

• On June 21 it was reported to officers the victim’s vehicle had been broken into. It was also reported that her credit cards had been used at the Covington Fred Meyer.

RECKLESS DRIVING

• On June 22 officers charged a male subject with reckless driving after he did a “smoke show” in the Maple Valley Safeway parking lot. The police report stated a number of people and other vehicles were around when the incident occurred.

VIOLATION OF COURT ORDER

• On June 23 it was reported that a no contact order was violated when the suspect showed up at the victim’s residence.

BOMBING

• On June 21 officers were called to Kentwood High School to reports that a porta potty had been blown up with a firework.

• On June 23 it was reported to officers that a homemade device was deployed on a city street.

AUTO THEFT

• On June 23 a trailer carrying a backhoe tractor was stolen from Home Depot. The police report stated it was located in Kent using GPS. The report also stated it was recovered by employees.

OPERATOR’S LICENSE VIOLATION

• On June 23 a vehicle was stopped for driving without headlights on. According to the police report, upon contact with the driver it was determined that there was supposed to be an ignition interlock installed in the vehicle. However, that was not the case.

LARCENY

• On June 21 it was reported to officers that a bike was stolen from behind the dumpsters at Taco Time. The police report stated the bike was not locked up.

• On June 23 officers were contacted regarding reports that a Kentwood student had left her vehicle unlocked and a Kent School District laptop had been stolen from inside.

• On June 24 it was reported that an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and took their garage door opener. The police report stated the suspect then entered the garage. The report also stated it appears nothing was taken from the garage.

FOUND PROPERTY

• On June 23 the reporting party gave officers three checkbooks she found in front of her home. The police report stated the checkbooks were returned to the owner who said they never received them by mail. The report added it is believed the checkbooks had been stolen.

CRIMINAL WARRANT

• On June 25 officers responded to reports that a male and female had been detained at Fred Meyer for a possible shoplift. The police report stated the two have a history of shoplifting from this store. Both were trespassed and the female subject was booked on a unrelated warrant while the male subject was released at the scene.

• On June 27 officers arrested a male subject on a felony warrant. The police report stated he attempted to run but was later found nearby at a friend’s house. He was booked into the Regional Justice Center.

MARIJUANA

• On June 26 officers were contacted regarding reports that eight to 10 juveniles were gathered at a park smoking marijuana and drinking in the woods, the police report stated.

OTHER AGENCY ASSIST

• On June 26 three juvenile runaways were located in Covington. The police report stated the three were involved with criminal activity in Covington and caused a disturbance when they were reunited with their parents.

Accident

• On June 27 officers responded to reports of a two car collision in the 15000 block of SE 256th Street. While officers were enroute, they were informed that one of the drivers may have been impaired. According to the police report, the driver of the causing vehicle was driving under the influence when they rear ended the other vehicle.

Vandalism

• On June 27 it was reported that a large dent was found in the tailgate of the reporting party’s vehicle. The police report stated the suspects were unknown.

Stolen Property

• On June 28 officers were contacted by employees at Panda Express in Covington who were reporting that an unknown male had entered the store and asked them to hold onto a bag of various items. The police report stated inside the bag was stolen property from various businesses around Covington.
