Summit Park update

Construction to the park is expected to continue until May 2019.

The city of Maple Valley’s project staff and the contractor that they hired, walked the boundary of the Summit Park property on Friday of last week and approved the tree protection limit.

The logging company the city hired is scheduled to begin tree removal today, Sept. 4.

Construction fencing will go up this week and there will be no site access from adjoining neighborhoods allowed.

The 200 trees that will be removed from the site are going to be re-proposed for habitat restoration on the Entiat River in Chelan County. There will be further updates about this activity later this week.
