The following is a traffic alert from King County Road Services Division.

Starting Thursday, Sept. 27, pavement repair work will take place on Sweeney Road Southeast near Maple Valley.

The work requires a lane closure daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. from 196th Avenue Southeast to Southeast Petrovitsky Road.

Motorists will be directed through the work zone and should expect delays.

The work is expected to finish on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 5 p.m., but is weather dependent.
