Victim punched through car window|Police Blotter

VANDALISM

• On July 20 it was reported to officers that a large rock was thrown through the rear window of the victim’s vehicle.

• On July 21 officers were contacted regarding reports the victim had her vehicle windows broken by the passenger, who the police report stated is an acquaintance of the driver. The police report stated it was unclear why the incident occurred but said it might have had something to do with a DUI collision the vehicle was involved in.

• On July 30 it was reported to officers that an unknown person vandalized the victim’s vehicle by throwing garbage at it.

ASSAULT

• On July 20 officers responded to Dollar Tree to reports that an individual had been assaulted by a stranger for no apparent reason, according to the police report.

• On July 21 it was reported to officers that the victim was reportedly assaulted because they had parked their vehicle across the street from the suspect’s house. The police report stated the suspect allegedly punched the victim through their vehicle window.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE VIOLATION

• On July 20 officers performed an area check in the Fred Meyer parking lot after receiving a call that a person was seen passed out in their vehicle. The police report stated the person had drug paraphernalia sitting on their lap.

ACCIDENT

• On July 21 officers responded to the area where it was reported that a vehicle had crashed into a tree. The police report stated the driver was seen walking away from the vehicle. It was later determined, the driver had been driving under the influence.

• On July 27 officers responded to reports that a driver who was driving under the influence had crashed into a power pole around 12:30 a.m. The police report stated the driver had fled the scene.

BURGLARY

• On July 21 it was reported that unknown suspects had entered the victim’s garage and taken her mailbox key from inside her vehicle.

LARCENY

• On July 22 it was reported to officers that a male and female subject had stolen a power washer from the victim’s driveway.

• On July 22 it was reported that while the victim parked her vehicle and went for a run at the Covington Community Park, an unknown suspect had broken her vehicle window and stolen a sweatshirt from inside.

• On July 24 it was reported that unknown suspects had reportedly stolen a construction sign from a private property.

• On July 28 officers were contacted regarding reports the victim’s sunglasses had been stolen out of her vehicle.

VEHICLE PROWLER

• On July 23 it was reported that an unknown male subject and his dog were seen prowling vehicles in Covington.

FRAUD

• On July 24 officers were contacted regarding reports that unknown suspects had reportedly opened a checking account and credit cards under the victim’s name. The police report stated it was unclear how the suspects got the victim’s information.

CRIMINAL WARRANT

• On July 25 officers pulled a vehicle over for traffic violations. Upon contact with the driver, officers determined he had a warrant out of Burien for a DUI hit and run.

FAMILY DISTURBANCE

• On July 25 it was reported to officers that there was an argument between ex’s. The police report stated there they claimed an assault had taken place but the report added there were no signs of injuries.

• On July 26 officers responded to reports of a verbal dispute between family members. The police report stated the victim was claiming the suspect had broken and moved a bone in her neck using his words.

TRESPASS

• On July 26 officers were contacted and responded to what was initially thought to be a burglary. The police report stated once officers arrived on scene, the reporting party told them a man was found inside his home. The police report also stated the subject had trespassed on a number of properties.

STOLEN PROPERTY

• On July 27 it was reported that an unwanted person was contacted outside a church in Covington. The police report stated the person was in possession of a stolen firefighter badge.

VIOLATION OF COURT ORDERS

• On July 28 officers responded to Safeway to reports of two subjects shoplifting. The police report stated there was a court order between the two parties and they were in violation of the order. The police report also stated drugs were located on one of the parties.

FOUND PROPERTY

• On July 28 it was reported to officers that a drone had crashed into the reporting party’s fence. Officers were unable to locate the owner of the drone.
