Sheila J. Hansen

Sheila J. Hansen of Maple Valley, Washington passed away on Sunday afternoon, September 7, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. Born February 18, 1956 in Dickinson, North Dakota, she was the daughter of Van and Edwina Braun.

Sheila loved her family and friends, and was fiercely loyal to both. She would sacrifice her time and other resources in her efforts to help others, as nothing was more important to Sheila. She also loved her home on the Cedar River and was happier there more than anywhere else she ever visited.

Sheila is survived by the love of her life Harold Dean Hansen, her partner of 36 years, 26 of which were spent in blissful marriage, along with two sons; Zachariah of San Francisco, California and stepson Jason of Seattle, Washington; two step-granddaughters Julia Sullivan and Allison Hansen; four siblings Bernie Stratman of Lilliwaup, Washington, Debbie Pinchin of Green Valley, Arizona, Tim Braun of Milton, Washington, Tom Braun of Auburn, Washington, and many other loving nieces, nephews and relatives.

Funeral services and burial were held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Greenwood Memorial Park on 350 Monroe Ave. NE in Renton, Washington, with Deacon Marshall Denby officiating. Memorial donations may be to sent to www.debbiesdream.org/portal.
